Farm Hand is the solo project of Mark Daman Thomas (of Welsh avantists Islet), crafting reflective, ambient music shaped by the hills and chapels of rural mid-Wales. Based in Radnorshire, he works with field recordings, loops, and organs to create beatless, reverberating pieces described by The Wire as “music with reverent, almost religious overtones”
His latest album Land Work - recorded with Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo / Group Listening) drifts gently through borderland soundscapes, featuring recordings made along Offa’s Dyke, in castle ruins, and remote churches.
